Starting June 9, 2025 SR 172 will be fully closed from Mt. Lassen Ave for 5.5 miles east of the junction of SR 36 in Mineral (Hole in the Ground Road).  This is for emergency restoration from the Park Fire and it is estimated it will reopen by the end of September.  You can call (530) 225-3426 during work hours.  Mt. Lassen road will remain open, and access to the full closure area will be made for property owners and emergencies.  They estimate they’ll be removing 4,000-5,000 damaged trees.  Actual letter below, please download a copy!
