Cabin owners be extremely careful if burning cabin lot debris in the coming weeks. Lots should be cleaned up by June 30. Among other Cal Fire requirements:
- Permitted only, check with Cal fire to assure it is a burn day. https://burnpermit.fire.ca.gov/
- Maximum burn pile size is 4 foot in diameter.
- Clear all flammable material and vegetation within 10-feet of the outer edge of pile and down to the bare earth.
- Keep a water supply close to the burning site.
- An adult should be in attendance with a shovel until the fire is out.
- No burning shall be undertaken unless weather conditions (particularly wind) are such that burning can be considered safe.
