2025 Annual Meeting Information

2025 Annual Meeting Information

Dear Mill Creek Cabin Owner:  Attached is the agenda for the Mill Creek HOA Annual Meeting, July 5, 2025 @ 10 am in the open area near the resort. Remember to bring a chair (and some water if it is very hot). There will be a sign-in sheet at the meeting. When signing in, please update your contact information and/or provide missing information to keep our records complete and current.

I have also attached the Minutes from last year’s meeting which we will ask you to approve at the meeting.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting on Saturday and at the pancake breakfast and parade on Sunday.  The pancake breakfast is a fundraiser for the Mineral-Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Department.  Please consider contributing items to the raffle and silent auction!  Contact Joe to learn more at lassenmillcreekresort@gmail.com or 530-595-4449.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Annual Meeting! On behalf of the Mill Creek Summer Homeowners Association Board of Directors,

Bill Loker, Secretary

Dear Cabin Owner:  Attached is the Annual Letter to cabin owners from the Mill Creek Summer Homeowners Association (MCSHA) with important information about the upcoming Annual Meeting, pancake breakfast and more.  Also attached is MCSHA’s proposed budget for fiscal year 25-26, which runs from July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026.  Please review the budget and if you have questions or concerns, contact any member of the Board.  The budget is among the items to be discussed at the Annual Meeting.

Given our brush with disaster from last year’s Park Fire, we urge — no, we insist! — that cabin owners be extremely careful if burning cabin lot debris in the coming weeks. (Lots should be cleaned up by June 30.) Among other Cal Fire requirements:

  • Maximum burn pile size is 4 foot in diameter.
  • Clear all flammable material and vegetation within 10-feet of the outer edge of pile and down to the bare earth.
  • Keep a water supply close to the burning site.
  • An adult should be in attendance with a shovel until the fire is out.
  • No burning shall be undertaken unless weather conditions (particularly wind) are such that burning can be considered safe.

More information is in the Annual Letter.

You may be wondering about the election to fill two open spots on the Board.  This is also addressed in the Annual Letter, but a quick summary: there were only two nominees for two open positions, so no actual election is required.  Betsy Karle is re-elected and Preston Dickinson will fill the vacancy created by Mark O’Sullivan’s “retirement” from the Board.

Thanks for reading this note and the accompanying material. We hope to see you at the Annual Meeting July 5, 2025 at 10 am.
